STS-115: Final Inspection Team

The Final Inspection Team is responsible for checking Atlantis and the launch pad one last time prior to liftoff. The team, comprised of engineers and safety officials, walk up and down the entire fixed service structure and mobile launcher platform to look for any abnormal ice or frost build-up on the vehicle and check the integrity of the external tank foam insulation.
