Canadian Space Agency astronaut Steve MacLean, Atlantis' mission specialist No. 4, climbs to the flight deck aft-right seat. MacLean, 51, was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Selected as one of the first six Canadian astronauts in 1983, he flew as a payload specialist aboard shuttle Columbia in 1992.
