Expedition 14: Liftoff!

A Russian Soyuz rocket with the Expedition 14 crew bound for the space station blasts off at 12:08:40 a.m. EDT from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The crew is led by commander Mike Lopez-Alegria, with cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin and space tourist Anousheh Ansari.
